8月9日のこの日、シンガポールでは建国60周年を祝う日だった一方、長崎では戦後80年、原爆投下の日から80年を迎えた 80年前の今日、この街では一瞬にして一木一草もない焦土と化された。数えきれない人が犠牲となり、そして沢山の人が原爆の後遺症で今も苦しんでいる。 私たちはこの地で何が起きたのか風化させることなく、記憶として継承して行かなければならない。このような惨禍は決して二度と繰り返してはならない。 年齢や国籍、人種を問わず恒久平和の実現に向けて力を尽くす責任がある。こんな不穏な世の中だからこそ、そういう意識を強く持つべきなのではないだろうか。 シンガポール人の一人として、紛争、戦争のない世界、願い続けたいと思います🙏🏻
